Temitope Oyetomi
is the founder and coordinator of the Joy and Truth Christian Ministries, Akure,
Nigeria. A seasoned essayist and prolific writer whose excerpted views have
been published in some leading international newsmagazines, Temitope is also
the editor and publisher
of his own weekly e-zine, Joy and Truth Weekly.
Devoting personal resources and extensive hours daily to the comparative study
of religions and beliefs, Temitope’s research that produced Does God Truly Exist?
spanned more than eleven years of general and academic reading. Yet the marked
scholarship evident in the pages of the book are not entirely derived from books
and journals. Temitope’ belief in the fact that knowing God could be, and should
be, a matter of personal one-on-one relationship with God is completely rooted
in his own personal experience of God.
A committed Christian, Temitope fellowships at the Chapel of Faith, the main
interdenominational congregation on the campus of the Federal University of
Technology, Akure, Nigeria, and he is also on the staff of the University.
His other book, Lift Up Many Hands – a slimmer volume on prayer and intercession –
for Christians is due out early in December 2006.
